I’m relishing my last weekday morning before I’m in “getting the kids off to school mode” again next week. It’s been so lovely to rise when my body is rested vs. when the alarm rings. To sit quietly on the deck with my first cup of coffee listening to all the critters in our back yard woods. Then to read a bit and meditate before getting dressed and beginning my worldly, outward work.
Bracing for the big shift on Monday: Taylor will get on the bus for 7th Grade at Jefferson Middle at 6:40 am. and then I’ll drive Johnathan, my Freshman at Reagan High, to school at 8:40 am. Perhaps I can work it so I enjoy my daily quiet time between kid-duty in the mornings.
