Turn into the gate at Minglewood and enter a wonderland.

Imagine spending the day Forest Bathing as you mindfully wander in the woods and gardens, enjoy a homegrown lunch, and play with nature mandalas with old and new friends. I’ve teamed up Margie Imus to offer you this magical, healing adventure on Saturday, May 6, 9:45 am – 3:30 pm. We are calling it…

Mindfulness, Self Care and Refuge
 at Minglewood Nature Preserve

We live in tumultuous times and many of us are experiencing burn out. The natural world provides us with refuge. Every day Nature is inviting to visit her and use her as a respite from our electronics, politics, and the trials and tribulations of our day-to-day life. Regularly spending time outside, mindfulness practices, and creativity offer delicious opportunities for self-care and rejuvenation.

The time is right to treat yourself to a much-deserved day of rest, self-care, and play at Minglewood Farm and Nature Preserve; near Pilot Mt, a 40-minute drive from Winston-Salem.

Your guides for the day are Cheryl Schirillo Johnson, Mindfulness Sherpa and Community Change Artist, and Margie Imus, Naturalist, Plant-Whisperer, Artist and Minglewood Co-Founder. Cheryl and Margie are excited to show you how easily nature and mindfulness can work together to help keep you healthy and joyful in mind, spirit and body.

Your day at Minglewood will start with coffee, tea and a healthy snack and also include:

  • Guided woods-wanders where you will practice Forest Bathing and walking meditation to receive the FULL effect of bringing nature and mindfulness together for healing.
  • Breathing with the flower beings in Minglewood’s Gardens.
  • A healthy, mindful lunch provided by Minglewood with food from the farm.
  • Co-Creative play with nature mandalas and earth art.
